Personal, Goal-Focused Partnerships Maintain Productivity, and Ethics That Allow Artists to Answer for Their Public behavior, harmful actions, and community impact

Women closest to me would agree with this take. That’s just to get any possible validation that someone would think I need. But artistry is what I’m actively involved in so I may come across as biased. However you view me, I’ll be on the side of artists needing to be more accountable when it comes to the influence that gets exercised globally.

All of Your Goals Are Personal

All of your goals should be viewed as an extension of your values, interests, and passions. Far too many fall trap to creating them to meet other people’s expectations.

There’s a co-dependent relationship that artists, fans, and the industry have to satisfy.

You as the artist are already at a disadvantage when you take into account the amount of leverage that’s present for an artist. What I’m saying more artists need to do is lead with the things that intrinsically make them different from one artist compared to the next.

Having that belief serve as a framework helps you move forward with every goal feeling personal to you. The partnerships that you seek out on the way to the top become uniquely personal with each one being built. Having this edge makes life an everyday journey that you’re always looking forward to.

There’s not too many things you should take personally in life, but your goals are without a doubt one of them as an artist. Understanding they’re personal puts you in another league.

You’re Productive Because Of The Goals You Set

Did you know productivity is linked directly to the goals you set?

Your Goals Are a Reflection of Your Work Ethic

There’s an intensely consistent amount of dedication you need to execute a task you set for yourself. It’s a luxury of being able to chase goals that you made personally.

The Rent For Success is Due Daily

It’s the phrase said by many greats when motivation is needed as a reminder that achievement requires a daily effort that you consistently build.

Defining Accountability: More Than Just a Buzzword

For an artist, accountability is Synonymous with having integrity. These are the type of people that are ideal to everybody that is a part of the market in general. They typically will be the ones who care more about the craft, how things are presented, messages that are included, and a positive experience for the audience that supports them.

The Artists’ Influence: Global Reach, Global Responsibility

Art has a tremendous reach and influence on society because of what it represents. For many, they would agree that art is an escape from reality. But because of the people who make a name for themselves in that industry, it makes the dream feel real.

Art ends up being shown in the likes of our favorite films, TV shows, Music, video games, and anything else you could think of that would be considered entertainment. It’s become so powerful because of everything that comes along with being part of it. That means that you usually get access to power, finances, fame, and most things that anybody who was once a dreamer would have ever wanted in their life.

This actually opens the door for discussion on why artists have so much influence in Hip hop when fashion is introduced.

The Artist-Audience Dynamic: A Case for Self-Regulation

There’s a reciprocal relationship between artists and their audience that I personally am learning and understanding more in each day up to this point in life. To this point, I’ve noticed that it is symbiotic in many ways. We as artists depend on the audience to support us. And usually (maybe ideally) in any way except emotional. It’s also where we as the artist tend to be the biggest support system for the audience emotionally. The value of We artists ends up fluctuating as our careers develop.

And As a result of the different things that change the world, whether that’s political or social issues, they affect our livelihood. It determines what puts bodies in seats at stages for performances, contributions to streaming numbers that reflect our status as artists and anything else that will allow the people to point their focus towards us.

Industry Priorities: Profit vs. Integrity

Industry priorities (Commonly in my experience) shows to clash with accountability. And that’s not normal! What I’ve noticed up to this point, and what I would consider a mid starting point in my own career in artistry is that there’s a trade-off in most cases, depending on the points and times that artists end up seeing success in their career of artistry. In many cases, when things are rushed, The priorities end up being more in the hands of who has more control over the artists.

What I believe is that it affects their level of accountability when this is the case. This is where being independent and going about doing it, the better way ends up being a huge win for anybody that wants to kickstart their own career. We could look at the likes of a couple successful indie artists that may be considered turned industry with Russ and La Russell, for example.

Personal Reflections: A Woman’s Support in Accountability

I get reminded by some of the most special women in my life that they love me, And that’s not taken for granted by any means. I’ll hear it when I wake up in the middle of the day and sometimes at the end of the night. My point is that it’s very consistent. There’s even pictures and other media that I’ll allow You, as the person reading this, to experience just to experience the proof that I’m Trying to prove.

The change they influence on my moves and steps as an artists have been all over the place, to say the least. I’ll find myself doing things that I would not have planned on doing ever, but this is also in Cohesion with my dreams and goals of being a successful artist. I constantly get reminded that it won’t be something that is 100% in my control at this point of my life, from what I am experiencing in my own reality. I’ll even add that a woman empowers the same demographic that makes me up in artistry (as well as the same demographic of audience members that would be part of my campaign) to feel more accountable, because if we are successful with women, it also makes us accountable. It becomes inherent in many ways where there’s plenty of qualities and things that will typically be sped up, and it impacts us to where we become much better at something than what the average person would be just because this becomes our priority as me being the artist and the same people that support my artistry.

Conclusion: A Call for Responsible Artistry

So if we look at what the call is for responsible artistry, we can look at it again as it being a co symbiotic relationship between the artists, the audience, and the industry as a whole. Accountability ends up being one of the most controversial topics for everybody involved that cares about being involved with art in any way. It contributes to global, social, and political economics. And I personally believe that a good majority of this falls on the artists themselves. The artists and audience that are supposed to work together is self regulated in many ways because in its purest form, it’s not to be tampered with by outside forces. At least ideally. There’s also an industry agenda that exists. And for many on the outside, and on the surface level looking in, it’s clear that profit will always be part of the initiative. However, adding accountability into the mix too ends up testing your integrity as well. But in my own personal reflection, I can also say what keeps me grounded personally is the female support that I have. When I add all those into the mix, that’s what I believe helps keep me so accountable as an artist and why I believe that it applies to every other one as well.
