EQ Heat is a music and culture platform created by AC2Cool, an artist with a growing background in rap, songwriting, and home music production.
Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago exposed me to different cultures, personalities, and perspectives. Music became one of the places where those influences could come together. What started as an interest eventually became something I wanted to actively participate in—not simply listen to from the outside.
That’s where EQ Heat comes in.
Music From a Creator’s Perspective

Mu specialty is Hip Hop, but my interest in music extends beyond a single genre. You’ll find discussions about songwriting, lyrics, music theory, production, artists, Hip Hop culture, fashion, and the business surrounding creativity.
I’m not approaching those subjects as someone who has everything figured out.
That’s part of the point.
EQ Heat is also for people who are still figuring music out—whether you’re learning to write your first lyrics, experimenting with production, developing yourself as an artist, or simply becoming more interested in how music works.
What Does EQ Heat Mean?
The name combines two ideas.
EQ comes from equalization, one of the fundamental tools used to shape frequencies and balance sound in music production.
Heat represents energy, intensity, creativity, and the desire to make something worth hearing.
Together, they represent the balance I want this platform to have: understanding the technical side of music without losing the passion that makes people want to create it in the first place.
More Than Music
Music remains the centerpiece, but EQ Heat naturally crosses into the culture surrounding it.
That means conversations can extend into Hip Hop culture, fashion, money, business, social media, generations, film, creativity, personal development, and the ideas influencing artists and their audiences.
These aren’t meant to be disconnected subjects. They’re different pieces of the environment in which music gets created, marketed, experienced, and remembered.

EQ Heat is still growing alongside me.
As my experience with music expands, so will the platform. I’ll continue documenting what works, what doesn’t, what I’m learning, and the questions worth exploring along the way.

How do you see EQ Heat evolving in the future? Do you imagine it becoming more of a collaborative hub for other creators, or primarily a showcase of your personal growth and projects?
I see that more and more people are now creating their own music and it’s great to see that you are so passionate about it. I have heard some awesome music that has been created by DJ’s lately and I sometimes ask them who sings the song and they tell me they created it themselves.
I wondered how you are breaking into the music industry. Do you DJ or do you do all music promotions online?
Reading your About Me page gave a better sense of who you are and what inspires your work. It’s always refreshing when someone shares their background in a real and personal way instead of making everything sound overly polished.
I also liked seeing how music and life experiences connect with your journey and creative direction. That kind of authenticity helps visitors feel more connected to the person behind the content.
