Let’s talk about discovering your true passion. It takes reflecting on your core joy. There’s hobbies you have to explore before you’re sure about things. And eventually you discover what your strengths are to be leveraged over finding true happiness.
Discovering your true passion
Your true passion is discovered only after you explore for it. It’s potentially in the Explore page of whatever social media platform you’re active on. We search for it because we ultimately want meaning in our lives.
It takes self-reflection. I’ve gotten the chance to do more of self-reflection myself once I got involved with affiliate marketing and support more of my messages in the personal stories that called for it.
You‘re going to be sure that you are exploring out of passion and not being lost Because you’re not consuming content out of boredom.
If you‘re trying To get placed in a position where you can truly find your own, keep an open mind for being able to try new things.
Self Reflection
Self reflecting is the act of going back in memory. I’ve had to do this plenty of times when I was active in therapy. Sometimes it got incorporated in my sports as a student athlete when I’d have to review footage of previous events for better performances in the future. These moments would direct my daily hustle of practice and guide myself (as long as my teammates) for individual success and ultimately as a team. Reverting to the past in these times become defining moments that‘s pivotal in your personal development.
Content Consumption Out of Boredom
Consuming content when getting bored is something I found myself (and sometimes find happening to this day) doing. It’s manly through scrolling on social media. I could blame the algorithm and call it quits from there, but that feels like the easy way out. In most cases through reflection I’ll find that my escaping coping mechanism is usually because I’m avoiding some type of work that absolutely has to get done.
I’m not alone in doing this though. There’s plenty of people that prove they do the same exact thing. It’s actually what I believe is an obvious contributor to procrastination that leads to an inevitable disappointment. I say that because in most cases it takes away from what’s supposed to be more important work. I’m speaking from the lens of someone that’s still highly active in their career aspirations too, so that might not apply as effectively with someone that’s retired or disabled.
But breaking it down even further proves that this happens out of habit. We get (entertainment based at many times) newspapers, magazines, new digital media like smartphones and even videos just to simply fill empty moments they’re probably Experiencing. Something has to change here.
Reflecting Your Core Joy
I’ll find myself reflecting on my past relationships at times and think about certain individuals who displayed true joy in front of me at times. I mention constantly how I’m people focused at this point in life and because of that I believe that everyone I meet becomes a key to help me open a locked door that’s not opens in my life. In this case it’s important to remember and learn from these past experiences because they’re blueprints in many ways.
The blueprint they provide contributes to me finding joy myself. It’s cool because I might not even had liked the person I’m thinking about, but being around them long enough, you get a chance to see them go through most of the spectrum when it comes to emotions. The goldmine ends up being in reflecting and understanding a time they were happy around me— what made them so geeked? why were they able to hold a smile for so long around me that day? Those are questions I’ll ask myself and hopefully find the answer to. Because I’m ideally in a place of more wisdom than my past, I’m able to figure it out and apply it moving forward. That way there’s no relationship I’ve had that didn’t benefit me.
And maybe I’m being a little too transparent with admitting this, but I truly feel that this could be a technique that you could try to move with more intentionality. It really feels like a method for making yourself happier in the moment and for the future too. I also see it contributing to joy universally because it’s important to learn from everybody that was ever around us— especially the ones who could display happiness since it’s a byproduct of passion.
Exploring New Hobbies
Exploring new hobbies happens differently for everyone. We see how there’s so many different people in the world that share interests in things outside of our own preferences. Somehow we end up connecting with them and either influence or get influenced and discover activities we wouldn’t see ourselves doing before meeting them.
I personally got the chance to explore at faster rates than the average person because I’d participate in activities like creative crafts. That would include the likes of things like band, afterschool clubs, and programs like those.
Even physicals sports were another outlet to promote my expansive personality. It’s developed since then, but that was a huge reason I was able to acquire new hobbies. In most cases it led to me getting more active to the point I’m even going on outdoor adventures. I’m meaning like hiking in forest preserves all across the country and just doing more traveling in general.
Identifying Unique Strengths
Finding areas that make you special is one of the best things you could do to find your passion.
It’s true because we have fun growing in areas we’re competent in.
Similar to the earlier message in self-reflection, we make this task priority in most cases.
Consider this a challenge to visit the past so you can get the gift of clarity to shine for a brighter future.
Finding out what your strengths are isn’t where things stop though.
After, we have to get useful feedback from the outside world to make something out of it.
Being able to analyze these traits unlock what energizes you.
