Today we’re gonna discuss the role of social media in tracking rap industry movements.
There’s a couple separate factors that I believe contribute to this phenomena.
First is the person in question’s desire to become and remain relevant socially.
Then the second factor is their addiction to instant gratification.
Personal Desire For Becoming and Remaining Relevant
Lack in Proper Social Circle: First is social lack. I’m believing that the person in discussion is missing Something that they weren’t getting from their previous Social circle. What happens with the situation here is where Artists from all walks of life are speaking to these people in ways that they feel connected.
People get to where they’re willing to abandon their previous life to acquire the validation from others they meet on the internet, social media specifically.
Chasing Validation From Characters: These people become infatuated with these personas they discover. Whether they’re fabricated or genuine is to be settled with someone outside of myself for this message, but social media tends to Show the absolute best of people with accounts. Someone that’s always at their ceiling. Eventually it develops to where it’s no longer Intrinsic fulfillment, instead it turns to external validity they’re searching for.
Always Having Something To Share: Getting Further into the root motivation shows that this type of peson simply wants more to share. It’s a sense of worth-crisis that they’re likely experiencing. People that don’t have much to say end up being Left with taking further physical action to prove their worth. And personally, I think that’s why these platforms end up becoming somebody’s everything.
Addiction To Instant Gratification
Too much push back from delayed
gratification: Delayed gratification is a
Concept I constantly learned to understand once I got into combat sports. You would start something you seemed to want and eventually Get an idea on far you’re able to go, but you also understand that it would take things close to sacrifice in order to successfully achieve what you want. Social Media from a consumeristic Standpoint defies that. You’re conditioned to get everything you went immediately.
Reality gets distorted: Reality’s distorted with the instant gratification becoming an addiction. That’s the case because it undeniably removes what makes personal and interpersonal relationships worth building. You have to realize it tekes processes to make it happen. Best friends aren’t just made overnight. Social Media however has those caught in it’s hold to where they expect every thing has to happen immediately. That explains their distorted reality and why people appear so crazy not getting what they went. The’re delusional when they encounter someone that’s not a slave to social media.
No longer living for personal goals anymore: You’re losing to socials by letting them turn you anti. You become a slave to the algorithm. Doing things
Purely for the subs, likes, shares, hypes, and anything else you can be rewarded with on socials. It’s fine to seek them, but when it’s the sole reason you exist, you’re overly chasing that validation we mentioned earlier. You Find yourself slipping more into an abyss that requests things from yourself that you yourself dont even want. And what’s crazy is that you’re going to pursue delivering these requests whether they make you happy or not.
