Today I’m asking for help with perfecting a small home studio set up. I recently invested in a desktop and got some professional programs to go with it in hopes that I’ll be able to step up my music production.
I’ve came a long way from what I was originally doing. Actually it’s not much different, but my ability to tap in with more resources has improved significantly. My initial process literally started after school was recording freely on a tablet that could record my vocals.
I would find the quietest room I could find and have the audio play out loud while speaking into the mic. Oh boy how that’s changed.
Luckily it developed to where it’s actually at to this date; recording on my iPhone in still a quiet location and being able to condense and direct the vocals which in turn creates a much clearer product. It’s not my end all-be all though.
I’m at the point where I should have an actual booth with higher quality headphones and a microphone specifically made for me to speak into.
So since I’ve got the means to start aggressively nurture my goals musically, I’m reaching out to everybody that wants to contribute to this movement I’m curating.
Needless to say, I share all of that to simply ask, What do I need to get a small home studio set up?
