Today we’re gonna answer if AI can turn photo to video. The answer is yes! Let’s dive a little further into it though.

How AI Can Easily Turn Static Photos to Moving Videos

Here’s a still image that I easily converted to a moving video clip—compliments of Picsart.

I’ve mentioned before about the array of AI friendly tools that can transform the visual campaigns of virtually any project you choose to create.

There was a few videos I made from this image still alone that got shared on both Pinterest and YouTube.

The creativity with this specific feature continued with yet another image I created with the Image Studios tool from Wealthy Affiliate that I used. I’ve spoken plenty of times about this tool. Wealthy Affiliate’s Image Studios feature only makes still images, but I took things further yet again with the assistance of Picsart. This was the image I made from scratch with Image Studios—

I even created the logo you see on the T-Shirt my avatar’s displaying that’s actually available for purchase in real life on the merch tab! But from this image alone, I was able to make videos where this picture speaks to my audience.

How to overcome common challenges in AI Based Image to Video Creation

I’ve had plenty of successful productions created with the assistance of AI tools—specifically with doing image to video production. I haven’t had enough discussions about the challenges that I’ve experienced with them though. One that’s most common is maintaining character consistency. Another is improving the input quality. And lastly is using precise prompting.

Maintaining Character Consistency

This is something that I would’ve liked to keep in mind more when I was first getting acquainted with the capabilities of AI tools— past simple image generation. Maintaining character consistency is what you see when there’s accounts on your favorite social media channels most of the time that have a consistent avatar— this character is who you see every time there’s a new message to be shared. I’ve spoken several times on here about how important consistency is with any campaign that’s ran both online and offline. It’s needed specifically in this case because familiarity conditions positive results whenever something is asked from your audience.

Improving The Input Quality

Improving the input quality might be something you’re not too sure of, but in terms of AI Generation, it’s selecting the images that I’ve chosen to transform into video clips. I’ve shared a few clips that I made. Some of them are great and others not so much. One thing you might notice is that things are highly repetitive although I discuss different things. This is where I’m mentioning needing to improve input quality. I just simply need to select better pictures to turn videos. That would without a doubt improve my stats I value most in my marketing campaigns. And you can bet that you’re sure to expect high quality results with making this adjustment too.

Applying Precise Prompting

This might be a bit of backtracking, but I promise it’s interconnected in a way it’s still necessary to discuss. Applying more specific prompts into my AI generators would be another improvement I would make, especially with my image to video creations because prompts are close to everything. That’s how you make all of your AI generated art- you tell the machine what to make and what you say is what you get. There’s a genuine skill behind it because the more ambiguous you are, the lower quality in art you receive. And same as anything else that’s being marketed- quality wins whatever race you run. Improving in this area would create better scripts. I imagine I’d also have layers to the scenes I generate. So more motion would be a byproduct and just a more pleasing product to the people that support me.
